There are wonderful charities throughout Kentucky working to help people from all walks of life. Whether through acts of service, participation or simply a financial contribution these charities need YOUR help! Sometimes it can seem overwhelming to decide which charity to donate to, so we will be compiling a list every month of fun upcoming charity events to help guide you in the right direction.

Bardstown Chili Cookoff and Bunco

Saturday, February 29 @ Bluegrass Tavern 6PM

Enjoy a chili supper and play bunco! $10 to play bunco, $10 to enter your prize-winning chili and just $5 to eat! All proceeds will benefit Barktown Rescue. Click here for more info.

Thomas Nelson Tennis Team

Thursday, March 5 @ Buffalo Wings & Rings 4PM

On this date, BW&R is hosting a dine & donate night for Thomas Nelson Tennis Team.  When you dine in or carry out, they will donate 15% of your bill pretax to their funds. All you have to do is mention to your server or carry out attendant you are here for the fundraiser.  A great way to mingle with the community, feed the family & help the school! The Pet Gala

Saturday, March 7 @ The Olmsted 6PM

The Pet Gala is the largest fundraising event for The Animal Care Society, which is a no-kill adoption agency for dogs and cats. Single tickets are $125 in advance and may be purchased at www.acspetgala.com

Trivia Night

Wednesday, March 11 @ Gilda’s Club Kentuckiana 6PM

Get your five smartest, cleverest, wittiest, pop-culture-knowing-est best friends (over the age of 21) together for Gilda’s Club Kentuckiana’s 3rd annual Associate Board Trivia Night! A table of 6 is $240 and includes food and two drink tickets (unlimited non-alcoholic beverages included). 100% of proceeds benefit Gilda’s mission that no one faces cancer alone. This is your opportunity to learn how Louisville, KY makes a National impact each and every day! Come learn more about The Dream Factory and how you can be a part of what they do in the National office to make a greater impact on the lives of critically and chronically ill children. Join a group of teens and adults with Spina Bifida to make a difference in the community.

Saturday, March 14 @ Mellwood Art & Entertainment Center5:30PM

Pack the Sack Louisville

Saturday, March 14 @ The Ice House 6PM

Tickets are limited this year and they will NOT be sold at the door. Table seating is first come first serve unless you have purchased a table! Table pricing: 1,200, and Ticket pricing: 150 each. This includes a 4-course meal by Super Chef Darnell Ferguson, Chef Gerron Hurt, Chef Brother Luck and Ice House Chef Laurence Agnew and an open bar. Help feed local children! Block Out Cancer

Saturday, March 21 @ 6 Pack Volleyball 10AM

First Shirley’s Way Volleyball tournament. There are two leagues, C and D. There will be a double elimination, split the pot and other raffle items. Come out and have a great time and support your local cancer charity! Sign up here.
