Whether through acts of service, participation or simply a financial contribution these charities need YOUR help! Sometimes it can seem overwhelming to decide which charity to donate to, so we will be compiling a list every month of fun upcoming charity events to help guide you in the right direction.

This can’t miss event will feature Bluegrass inspired hors d’oeuvres, live music, and a live auction of exciting racing experiences and memorabilia. Montessori 5K Color Run

Get Active Fundraising Color Splash Run is an untimed fun run featuring a 5k course. Throughout the course participants will experience color splash zones where they will be doused in color. There will also be a final color toss celebration. Check in starts at: 11/2/18 from 4:30-7:00pm at Old Talbott Tavern.
Out of the Darkness Walk

When you walk in the Out of the Darkness Walks, you join the effort with hundreds of thousands of people to raise awareness and funds that allow the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) to invest in new research, create educational programs, advocate for public policy, and support survivors of suicide loss. Entertainment and festivities for this very special evening include silent and LIVE auctions, exciting games, catering by Uncle Ham’s BBQ, and live music. Each ticket includes entry to the event, dinner, and two drink tickets. A cash bar will be available. All proceeds benefit Barktown Rescue.

More than 50 million adults and 300,000 babies and children have some form of arthritis. It is the leading cause of disability among adults in the U.S. Some forms of arthritis not only affects joints but can affect the entire body, eyes, lungs, heart and or spleen.
