There are wonderful charities throughout Kentucky working to help people from all walks of life. Whether through acts of service, participation or simply a financial contribution these charities need YOUR help! Sometimes it can seem overwhelming to decide which charity to donate to, so we will be compiling a list every month of fun upcoming charity events to help guide you in the right direction.

Bourbon, Brims, & Books

Thursday, September 27 @ Frazier History Museum 6PM

Wear your best Derby hat and enjoy food prepared by KMS Culinary, music by the Zack Longoria Project and MC- THE JP Davis! And all for a great cause benefitting It Pays To Read: a local community literacy program right here in Louisville, KY serving at-risk youth, families and schools! Click here for more info.

Active Heroes Golf Scramble

Support Active Heroes by participating in their annual golf scramble. There will also be breakfast at the retreat center before the scramble. Click here to register.

Car Show Benefitting Friends for Hope

Friends for Hope is a non-profit Cancer support group that is made up of some very wonderful people! There will be a lot of cool cars and plenty to do! Click here for details.

Birds, Brews, and BBQ

Saturday, October 6 @ German American Club 6PM

Support the Louisville Nature Center at their annual fundraising event. DJ Bones will be spinning vintage vinyl, followed by bluegrass music by the River Rounders, food from Common Table (including vegetarian option), cash bar, games (including Spin FOR the Bottle!), and Silent Auction. Craft Beer Throwdown

Thursday, October 11 @ Louisville Water Tower Park 6PM

All proceeds from the Craft Beer Throwdown will be used to prevent and end youth homelessness in Louisville. The Coalition for the Homeless and 50 community partners are working to address the needs of more than 800 local youth who experience homelessness each year, helping them move from the streets to permanent housing. Pink Prom

Ales for Tails

Saturday, October 20 @ Boundary Oak Distillery 7PM

Entertainment will be provided by local talents Sean T. and Hollie, an unbelievable auction, heavy hors d’oeuvres by Tony York Plus this year’s ticket includes tastings of many spirits from Boundary Oak Distillery! All proceeds go to your furry friends at the Hardin County Animal Shelter.
