Eddie Bauer Infant Carriers Recalled for Fall Hazard

A recall has been issued on Eddie Bauer fabric infant carriers due to a fall hazard. “The buckles on the infant carriers can break, posing a fall hazard to children,” states the recall. About 22,000 of the carriers were sold at Target stores nationwide and online between December 2017 and August 2018. There have been eight reported incidents of broken buckles, but no injuries have been reported.

Walmart Camping AxWalmart Recalls Camp Axes Due to Injury Hazard

Walmart has issued a recall on Ozark Trail camp axes to an injury hazard. “The axe head can detach from the handle, posing an injury hazard,” says the recall. About 246,000 of the camp axes were sold at Walmart stores nationwide and online at walmart.com from January 2017 through July 2018. There have been two reports of axe heads detaching from the handle, resulting in minor cuts and abrasions.

Kia Recalls Model Year 2018 SorentosKia Sorento 2018

The cowl crossbar that connects to the Motor Driven Power Steering (MDPS) steering column may be improperly welded, allowing the steering column to separate. If the steering column separates, it can cause a loss of steering ability, increasing the risk of a crash. Kia will notify owners affected by this recall.

  

Yamaha Golf CartYamaha Recalls Golf Cars Due to Crash Hazard

A recall has been issued on Yamaha golf cart, personal transportation and specialty vehicles due to a crash hazard to consumers. According to the recall, “The accelerator pedal return spring can break, posing a crash hazard.” About 145,000 of the vehicles are included in the recall and were sold at Yamaha golf car dealers nationwide from June 2015 through August 2018. There have been 417 reports of incidents involving spring failures.

IKEA Recalls Ceiling Lamps After 19 Reports of Incidents

IKEA has issued a recall on its CALYPSO Ceiling Lamps due to impact and laceration hazards. “The glass shade on the ceiling lamp can detach and fall, posing impact and laceration hazards to consumers,” states the recall. About 37,000 of the ceiling lamps were sold at IKEA stores nationwide and online at www.ikea-usa.com from August 2016 to July 2018. IKEA has received 19 reports of the glass shade detaching and falling, resulting in three minor injuries.

 

Boy Scout NeckerchiefBoy Scouts Recall Neckerchief Slides for Violation of Lead Content Ban

Boy Scouts of America has issued a recall on their neckerchief slides due to a violation of the federal lead content ban. As the lawsuit states, “The colored enamel on the neckerchief slides contains levels of lead that exceed the federal lead content ban. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health issues.” About 110,000 of the neckerchief slides have been included in the recall. The neckerchief slides were sold at Boy Scouts of America retail stores and authorized distributors nationwide and online at www.scoutshop.org from February 2018 through August 2018.
