Products are recalled every day and it’s important to stay up to date on those recalls in order to keep you and your loved ones safe. Below are a few recent recalls that may affect you.

Carrier Recalls Heat Pumps Due to Fire Hazard, Six Incident Reports

Carrier has issued a recall on Carrier- and Bryant-branded 1.5-ton multi-zone, 4-ton multi zone and 4-ton single-zone ductless heat pumps due to a fire hazard. As stated in the recall, “The fan motor on the heat pumps can fail, causing the units to overheat, posing a fire hazard.” Carrier has received six reports of heat pumps catching fire. Over 5,300 heat pumps are included in the recall and were sold at Carrier and Bryant distributors, independent dealers and contractors nationwide from March 2015 through April 2019.

Subaru Recalls 2015-2018 Foresters

366,282 model year 2015-2018 Foresters with heated seats have been recalled because an electrical connection in the front passenger seat may loosen. If the Occupant Detection System (ODS) loosens the front passenger airbag may deactivate even though it is occupied. Parts are not currently available but Subaru dealers will inspect and replace as necessary, free of charge.

Nearly 1M Ridgewood Dressers Recalled for Tip-Over and Entrapment Hazards

Ridgewood has issued a recall on its Belmont four-drawer dressers, sold exclusively at Kmart, due to tip-over and entrapment hazards. The recall states the dressers “are unstable and can tip over if not anchored to the wall, posing serious tip-over and entrapment hazards that can result in death or injuries to children.” There are about 1 million dressers included in the recall.

Zippo Recalls Ronson Tech Torches

758,000 Ronson Rech Torch Auto Starts have been recalled in the U.S and Canada. The torch can continue flame after the activation trigger is released, posing a fire hazard. There have been 36 reports of the torch continuing after being switched off, including one report of minor property damage. The torch as sold at Wal-Mart, Ace Hardware, Zippo.com, and Amazon.com among others. Consumers should immediately stop use and either call the recall hotline at 800-407-0377 or email CR@RonsonRecall.com for a refund.

Jayco Recalls 2019 Eagle HT & Eagle Recreational Trailers

The gas range does not vent outside, increasing risk of fire. Owners may contact Jayco at 800-283-8267.

Jayco Recalls 2019-2020 Jay Feather Travel Trailers

The handles for the emergency exit windows may not allow them to open fully. Occupants may not be able to exit through the window in case of emergency.

IKEA Recalls Infant Bibs

This recall involves Matvra bibs sold in a pack of two, the snap on the bibs can detach posing a choking hazard. The bibs were sold nationwide at IKEA stores and online at ikea-usa.com from August 2019- September 2019. Consumers should immediately stop use and return the bibs for a full refund.

Signature Hardware Recalls Bath Stools

Signature Hardware of Erlanger, KY is recalling Luyten white matte resin bath stools as they can break posing fall and injury hazard. One report has been made without injury. These stools were sold at www.signaturehardware.com and feature a geometric cutout on each side. Consumers should immediately stop use and contact Signature Hardware for a full refund.
