One measure in particular calls for, “creat[ion of] a panel to review deaths and near-deaths in Kentucky’s state and local correctional facilities,” a deeply-rooted problem for the KY Jail System that Dunlop’s reports have uncovered.

While much is yet to be determined, as legislators have plans to reconvene next week, it has become quite apparent that people are taking notice, and asking for change in the wake of negligent inmate care too often leading to death from within KY Jails.

We must continue to be proactive in seeking justice for those lives lost. Don’t let this happen to your loved one. If your family member has suffered an unnatural death due to negligence, indifference, or misconduct by another person, you may be entitled to compensation.

If you think you have a claim, please contact the attorneys at McCoy & Hiestand, PLC. We will evaluate your case and help get you the compensation you deserve.
